Did the 56' Evinrude have a separate exhaust snout?

I have a 56' Evinrude 15 horse O/B with a missing exhaust snout...whassup wit' dat?
I thought it was one-piece. Looks like someone removed it.
Anyone got a diagram of the lower unit?....Jer
